Anytime you shrink an experience down, especially a wargame, I always wonder if it will feel the same, with the same depth, content, feeling...
Well Pocket General WWII did NOT disappoint. I feel like it has the precision of Chess, and the tactical depth of Advanced Squad Leader, with about 9 hours less game-play requirements, and a LOT more quick-action.
I felt like a general, fought like a soldier, and thought like a master tactician. The game is fast, extremely strategic, and immersive.
Finally a game where I feel like a four-star general plotting the grand marco-level tactics of the entire campaign history of World War II... and best of all? It fits in my t-shirt chest pocket!
Hands down best strategy game for its size and class.
